Potty

Yes, I keep reading my friends' blogs about thier children peeing and pooping on the potty...and it just is not happening here. We were making a little progress, then travelled and now Sam will sit on the potty when asked to, but rarely does anything. I am leary of pushing him to learn and then move in September and have a huge regression and have to do it all over again.
Atleast Matt seems to be on the same page about it...and I keep telling myself that he won't go to college in diapers....
He rode a friends bike today and loved it! We told him that when he learned to use the potty, he could pick out a bike...maybe that concept is a little more real now.
We've bribed with candy, stickers, etc...I don't know...any suggestions?

we are still trying to bribe and that seems to be failing us too as O wanted to poop in a diaper today. oh well, like you said, they won't be wearing diapers in college right? it is just another attempt on their part to let us know they are little individuals and want a say in their lives and this is the one thing that they have absolute control over, so I have never pushed it.....bribed, yes, but never strong-armed:)

T didn't pee until he was 3 AND the other thing didn't happen until later so don't feel bad. :)

Have you tried inticing him with the idea of "big boy underwear"? There are some pretty cool Cars underoos out there now

Thanks for the input and pep talks! It helps to hear how pottying has happened for others!
